Good. Better. Best.
Choose your category.
Grouping shirts in to categories helps us to quickly give you an estimate of what your custom printed t-shirts will cost.
We’ve looked at a decade’s worth of screen printing orders and 85% of the shirts we’ve printed fit in to one of these three categories: good, better, or best.
‘Good’ shirts are your standard high-quality crewneck t-shirts, with 60+ colors to pick from, a classic tube fit, and a heavy cotton or cotton/poly blend fabric makeup.
We all have at least three of these shirts in our closet, probably from a marathon, your kid’s school, or a softball team you played on one summer. These shirts wash well, hold on to color, and last for decades.
Looking for a v-neck? You’ll need to look at the ‘Better’ category for examples of these options. Need a pocket tee? You’ll have to look at the ‘Best’ category for those.
Example T-Shirts: Gildan 64000. Next Level N6210. Bella+Canvas 3001CVC, BC6400. Anvil 980. American Apparel 2001W. Port & Co 450. Hanes 5180
Ladies’ cotton v-neck: Gildan 5V00L, Hanes 5780, S04V
Ladies’ tank tops: Next Level 5033, 6733
‘Better’ shirts are commonly called “fashion tees”. They’re typically a lighter weight, but higher quality fabric compared to the standard ‘Good’ t-shirts. The sleeves are a little shorter and the fit is a bit more snug. Most of the t-shirts you see for sale in a retail setting today fit in to this ‘Better’ category.
Most ‘Better’ t-shirts are made of ringspun cotton, or a ringspun cotton/poly blend. Ringspun cotton is very soft to the touch and has a little stretch to it.
Cotton t-shirts with a v-neck neckline and ladies tank tops will generally also fall in to this ‘Better’ category.
Example T-Shirts: Next Level 6010, 6710. Hanes MO100, MO150. Bella+Canvas 3413, 6760. Anvil 6750.
Ladies tank tops: Alternative 4031, Bella 8800.
The ‘Best’ shirts are made of a light weight, very high quality tri-blend fabric. Triblend tees are made of a polyester/ringspun cotton/rayon combo that fits great and feels amazing on – you’ll want to wear these day after day.
‘Best’ shirts are fashion fit, with shorter sleeves and slightly contoured body fit. The triblend fabric has a nice stretch to it and hangs well. The high-end or designer t-shirts you see sold in retail stores would fit in to this category.
If you want people to wear your shirt over and over, it’s worth spending the extra money for these, they quickly become a favorite go-to item in the closet.
